They Make Each Other Laugh More Than Cry

That's how I sum up Landen and Lana's relationship with one another.

There are times they argue over a toy or are just to cranky to deal with one another, but most of the time they play so well together. Lana wants to do everything her big brother does and for the most part Landen is incredibly patient with her. He has been "reading" to her lately which is so cute to watch. Lana brings the big brother bear out of Landen. He is incredibly protective of her and makes sure she is treated fairly and not pushed aside when other children are around. Landen has been asking for bunk beds so the two can continue sharing a room after we find another house and gets upset at the idea of being separated from her. He gives her a boost when needed, literally, and has been an amazing role model for her.

For her part, Lana never accepts any kind of treat without asking for a second one for Landen then immediately takes it to him. She actually gets upset if he doesn't want it. She spends a lot of Landen's time at preschool looking for him around the house. She becomes quiet and clingy when he is not home, and asks for him by name, "Nanden." Lana can not sleep unless her big bro is also in bed. Because of Landen, Lana has been able to climb jungle gyms since a very very young age and is quite fearless since she wants to try everything he does. She is teaching Landen how to be gentle and kind, and it makes me laugh how she insists he stop doing whatever he is doing to kiss her ouchies, even the pretend ones.

Between them I see lots of admiration, hugs, kisses, fun, joy, and most importantly, love. It warms my heart. I can't wait to see what this next baby will bring to the mix.
