The morning of her 6 month birthday...
Leya is a perfect little baby. Almost always in a great mood (teething is rough), wakes up smiling, and just adores her big brother and sister. Not only is Leya scooting now, but she also rolls over both ways, and is finally eating solids! Last week she gave in and is eating about half jars of Stage 1 veggies (she has had sweet potatoes and carrots) mixed with rice cereal. She also loves Biter Biscuits and Mum Mums. I love them too because I now get to eat my meals with 2 hands since she is entertained with her snack.
She also thinks the world is her jumper. It is actually a workout to hold her nowadays since she is always trying to jump up and down or is lunging forward to grab everything within her reach. And she loves hair. If she can reach it, she will pull it, and we have to pry open her little clenched fist to free whoever it belongs to...usually me or Lana. Although her monkey grip sometimes rips out a few strands of Lana's hair, Lana always gives her a kiss and says "It's okay, baby Leya." She's so sweet to her baby sister. Leya's hair...it's a crazy crop of waves on top of her head. It grows in every direction and looks a bit like a toupee. So cute. I usually just clip a flower into it and she is good to go. Adorable.
Leya is still a Mommy's girl but does get excited when Daddy comes home from work. She just learned how to clap her hands today and gets so excited when she sees how happy it makes us. She is so curious and I love watching her learn and grow every day.
We love you so so much, Bug-a-boo! I can't believe it's been a whole 6 months since you came into this world! We are so blessed to have you and we can't wait to see what joys the rest of your first year will bring us! Happy 6 month birthday, Leya!

We took family pictures right before I took these. Landen changed into pajamas (his fave that are 2 sizes too small) as soon as we walked in the door, Lana took off her dress (kept the bloomers) and put on her new princess shirt, and Leya was over the whole picture thing. So this is the best I got of the 3 kids. They were too funny to not post.
